Gordon Rovins is a Brooklyn based mixed media artist. He has studied and created works in stained glass, fused and blown glass, metal sculpture, photographic collage as well as three dimensional abstract paintings. For the last 25 years, he has primarily worked with paper mache creating elaborate colorful masks and works on canvas incorporating toys and everyday found objects. He has exhibited at the Washington Heights Art Show, the Multimedia Arts Gallery (NYC), the Chameleon Gallery (Brooklyn), Gallery 164 (Brooklyn), at the Ossam gallery and the BWAC gallery through PSWT. Gordon is a member of Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists. Much of his work has been sold privately and can be found in homes throughout the US and South America. While creating art, Gordon also worked for 34 years at Lighthouse Guild as a residential director, accessibility consultant and director of special programs providing services to visually impaired and blind individuals.
